Palestinian Folklore & Culture

Since before the 1948 Nakba and the ethnic cleansing of historic Palestine, Palestinians have worked tirelessly to ensure that their cultural heritage and narrative remain alive, passed on to future generations and shared worldwide.  The Palestinian folklore movement continues to document and disseminate examples of and information on Palestine’s unique culture ensuring it’s the age-old connection with their land and country. Folklorists collected and preserve a wide range of materials, from traditional dress, folktales, music and dance, cuisine and crafts such as pottery, glass blowing and the famous embroidery.  Our programmes and tours include opportunities to visit Palestinian enterprises, factories and shops.

If you are interested, we are happy to advise and help organise visits to any number folklore museums and to meet with Palestinian folklore experts. Please contact us.
